Sustainability
Less than 5% of the land will be occupied by buildings for the opening, and 88% will remain natural and green once the attraction is fully developed
A new forest will be created by planting 10,000 trees and 50,000 plants in time for the opening, which will then be doubled over 10 years
Existing natural assets will be protected and enhanced, creating woodlands, gardens, ponds and lakes in harmony with the wider biodiversity
400 tonnes of carbon dioxide will be captured per year thanks to the additional forest and gardens that will be created
Targeting Net Zero
Our proposed UK destination will target a net zero operation. We will:
Save energy through sustainable construction methods and using renewable energy sources
Preserve water by recycling 100% of wastewater onsite and harvesting rainwater
Recycle 99% of waste on-site
Buy local – in France, 70% of the farms supplying our restaurants are less than 100 miles away
Promote sustainable transport for visitors and our own talent
