New jobs created

There will be 700 people employed at Puy du Fou UK at opening, and as many as 2,000 new secondary indirect jobs created at hotels, suppliers and other local businesses. By the time the park is fully developed this will increase to 2,000 jobs within the park, and an estimated 6,000 indirect jobs.

We have over 300 different types of jobs in our parks. Typically, only around a quarter are hospitality jobs, with almost 50% being artistic roles and the remainder spanning management, HR, finance, marketing and technical support. We offer a broad mix of full time, part time and seasonal roles.

Training opportunities and apprenticeships

We will provide vocational training and apprenticeship opportunities to help people switch or start new careers with Puy du Fou, and will partner with local colleges and universities to attract young people and graduates, as well as offering a range of job opportunities for older workers.

We have forged a working relationship with the main local college education provider, Activate Learning, and are already working with them to shape their existing courses to provide their students with the skills they will need to work at Puy du Fou.

Economic boost for the local area

Our experience in France and Spain shows that for every £1 spent in Puy du Fou, £3.20 will be spent in the local area outside our park – reaching £500m a year when the park is fully open.

We always prioritise local suppliers and form long-term partnerships with local partners and farmers to provide the food sold in our restaurants.

Longer stays in Cherwell and Oxfordshire

50,000 overnight stays are expected in the area during the first year, increasing to up to 400,000 overnight stays within ten years of the park opening – benefiting other regional attractions, heritage assets, local hotels and businesses.

Conference centre

We will be operating a new, purpose designed, state-of-the-art conference centre onsite adjacent to one of our hotels to host corporate events, seminars and conferences. This will attract business conferences to Bicester, Cherwell and Oxfordshire all year round, and will be the only element of the park that will operate out of season on demand, other than management, maintenance and animal welfare.

Local investment

Puy du Fou UK will represent a £600m investment into the local economy over 10 years.
